Description

Often referred to as a ‘package deal’ or ‘turnkey’ contract. In its classic form the contractor takes full responsibility for the design & construction process based on a detailed brief provided by the client. Using the design and build procurement method, the client contracts with an agent (usually an architect, a quantity surveyor or a project manager) to administer the contract on its behalf. The client also enters into a separate contract with a contractor for it to carry out the final design and construction of the building works.
