Commercial / Corporatea 50,000 square foot open plan office building designed around a central insitu concrete core consisting of stairs, elevator and toilet and service core. This building consisted of 5 levels and is an insitu concrete framed building with block and concrete dividing walls. The external facade is a mixture of alucabond cladding, curtain walling and painted render. The roof structure which is also clad in alucabond is supported on a steel frame and is curved to give the appearance of an African stool. The foundation is a raft slab and the insitu floors are flat slab design to maximise space for service distribution. Air conditioning, plumbing and electrical works are incorporated to provide a fully functioning office environment. Internally the finishes include glazed partitions, painted walls, tiled floors and both feature gypsum and acoustic drop ceilings. External services including water storage sewage treatment, parking and backup power were all part of the works.
